A NICE COMPUTER LAB HAS BEEN SET UP IN JALPA HSS
A computer lab has been set up here in Jalpa Higher Secondary School premises. The lab has established with around 3.6 million rupees funding by Hagis foundation from Netherlands. The lab was inaugurated by Peter Snoeren , program coordinator of the foundation. This is first modern computer lab with big number of computers in any school within district.
School children and locals are now so happy having such lab. This happened possible with big effort of local resident Manoj Suji and people put Tika and garlands him for his love and support to the village. High skilled computer technician from Dos trading Kathmandu was working for networking and electrical set up. In inaugural function, committee member of school management Shiv Bahadur Adhikari said that school children had opportunity of learning of computer use which need to be considered a great thing.
Dos trading CEO Sarbottam Lal Shrestha had mentioned that there was no such computer lab with all nice schools in even the capital Kathmandu. In program, program coordinator Peter described on additional project and donation for school. A team comprises Piet van der Velden, Guno Baidjoe, Ad Holman, Koen Holman and Peter donated two set of water purifying system to the school at a same time.
School management team and locals put Tika and garlands on them as well. Speaking as chair of program and chairman of school management committee Mr. Shri Krishna Adhikari suggested to school administration to take care of computers and provide of best computer education to children.
Hagis foundation is funding and working for Chaukidanda since 9 years on the sector of education, health, sanitation, sports, construction skills and many more. School principal Birendra Rai says,” Hagis foundation and other supporting members are like God for entire village of Chaukidanda. We have to learn on team working and hard labour from them.”
