The company, which is not functioning now, used to offer “assurance” and health plan. Under the assurance plan, the company used to charge clients Rs 15,000 promising accidental death insurance of half a million rupees and assurance coverage of Rs 100,000 in case of natural death.
But the company was registered with the concerned authorities such as Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) and the Insurance Board (IB).
Under its health plan, the company used to charge Rs 15,750 from each of its members for free health checkups at the hospitals operated by the company in 19 districts but with inadequate facilities. The company was also selling its plans to overseas clients.
