Engineers directed to return to work

Kathmandu, Dec 22: The Ministry of Urban Development, Central Project Implementation Unit has directed the engineers/technicians deputed in the post-quake reconstruction to return to work within two days.
Project Director of the Unit Shiva Hari Sharma has in a notice issued Thursday has also requested those who do not want to return to work within the two days’ deadline to go to the concerned district project implementation unit and end their respective contract. “The candidates in the waiting list will replace those who decide to annul their contract,” he has said in the statement.
Meanwhile, the Unit has also clarified that preparations are being made to table a proposal before the cabinet to provide up to 75 per cent allowance to the engineers and technicians based on geography and performance.
