CPN (UML) will lead country’s development activities: Chair Oli

Damak, Nov 12: CPN (UML) Chairman KP Sharma Oli has said that his party would now lead the development activities of the country.
Chair Oli claimed that his party would take the leadership to take the country towards prosperity and no one could obstruct it.
Honouring leaders and cadres at a programme organised by Youth Association of Nepal, Damak Town Committee here on Friday, he said that people have wanted to see the CPN (UML) in the leadership role as it has carried out activities in favour of democracy and prosperity.
Saying that the CPN (UML) would not compromise against the welfare of the people and the country, the former Prime Minister charged the ruling parties of failing the constitution implementation by spreading rumor that the CPN (UML) did not support in constitution amendment.
He also argued that constitution amendment was not necessary in the present context, stressing that the country got the new constitution because of the CPN (UML).
Chairman Oli said, “CPN (UML) is not against constitution amendment. But the rationale for that should be shown in this regard.”
He said it would not be acceptable to his party if the constitution is amended for anyone’s personal interest. He honoured 62 old leaders and cadres of Damak area by presenting them with shawl and letter of felicitation.
