Yeti Airlines aircraft dislodges from runway at Bhairahawa airport
LUMBINI, Sept 24: An aircraft of the Yeti Airlines has met with an accident while landing at Gautam Buddha International Airport in Bhairahawa on Saturday afternoon.
The aircraft flew to Bhairahawa from Kathmandu had met with the accident at the airport runway at around 4:15 pm.
The aircraft was dislodged 150 meters south from the runway. A total of 29 passengers including three crew members were on board and no human casualty was reported in the incident. Some passengers have sustained minor injuries.
Nepali Army, security officials at the Airport, among others now are carrying out rescue operation in the site. Details of the incident are yet to be ascertained, according to the Civil Aviation Office, Bhairahawa.
