25 % increase in salary of low-paid postal service employees
Kathmandu, Sept 22: Today’s meeting of the Council of Ministers has decided to increase the salary of low-paid postal service employees by 25 per cent, effective from last July 16.
The Cabinet has also also decided to appoint Kamini Rajbhandari as the Executive Director of Nepal Telecom and send senior agro-economics specialist Dr Pradyumna Kumar Pandey to SAARC Agriculture Centre in Dhaka on deputation, shared Minister for Information and Communications Surendta Kumar Karki
The government has also designated Under-Secretary at Ministry of Finance Dinanath Upadhya as an advisor to the Executive Director of World Bank, especially with the Terms of Reference to work in the south-east section.
Minister Karki further shared that the government has pledged to work for the reconstruction of freed Kamaiya (previous bonded labourers) within a couple of years.
The Cabinet has also decided to aid Rs 500,000 to special marathon athlete Meera Rai of Bhojpur for her treatment.
Similarly, the government decided to promote joint investigation directors duo Laxman Gurung and Ram Bahadur Karki to the posts of investigative directors at the National Investigation Department.
Decision was also taken on some transfers and installation in the Nepal Police.
Moreover, the government is to provide Rs 14 millions in total to those injured during the Madhes movement based on the medical bills on their treatment. RSS
